Who we are?

Derby Folk is a consortium comprising members of Bob On Arts, Furthest From The Sea and FOLK3D – working together to promote, present and engage in folk music, dance and craft activities. Bob On Arts (Bob Rushton) manages the customer data on behalf of Derby Folk, using a third party provider (Brevo) in order to manage compliance and mailings.

What data do we collect?

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • Any additional details you voluntarily enter on the Contact Form
  • When you buy tickets for Derby Folk Festival / Derby Folk Weekend, your data is processed by Derby LIVE for the purpose of completing your ticket transaction. If you have opted to share your data with us, your email address, name, and any other contact details you have given will be securely transferred to us, and imported into Brevo to process on our behalf.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Derby Folk (Bob On Arts)with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Voluntarily complete a customer contact form or enter comments on our blog, or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Messages via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, other social media or by direct emails.

Via Derby LIVE (Derby City Council) when you purchase tickets for events. Derby LIVE are the data processor for these transactions, and your data is only shared with us if you have explicitly agreed.

How will we use your data?

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) collects your data so that we can:

  • Contact you in response to your message
  • Maintain contact with you for specific (festival or promoted events), or non-specific (cross-promotion of related events) projects unless you ask to be removed from any contact lists
  • Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) does not share data with any third parties – other than Brevo, who manage the data, unless it is agreed, and in conjunction with events involving other parties where contact is required, and you have agreed.

How do we store your data?

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) uses Brevo to securely store your contact data purely for the purpose of communicating with you as part of any work that involves you and Bob On Arts. If you contact us directly, your details may be held on a personal computer, cloud storage, and mobile phone whilst communication is taking place.

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) will keep your name, company name, email and address and telephone number for as long as events are taking place, and whilst you still wish to be communicated with. Data will be removed, and permanently deleted from all devices at your request.

Marketing

Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) will send you occasional information about events of ours, or others that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop Derby Folk (Bob On Arts) from contacting you for marketing purposes.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email folk@bobonarts.co.uk and state that you wish to be removed from any/all contact lists.
