Sue MacFarlane is, and always has been, a singer of songs. When asked how long she has been singing, she says that she can’t ever remember a time when she didn’t sing. She sang at home, at school, in Sunday School, in the church choir, and was singing in pubs and folk clubs by the time she was twelve.
Sue worked an apprenticeship singing in northern Working Men’s clubs, and further afield. As a professional musician, she has worked on cruise ships, in theme parks, in restaurants and music bars in places such as Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Spain & Dubai.
Originally from Sheffield, Sue now lives in Belper and is looking forward to playing at Derby Folk Festival Fringe.
